Burcin Altun PhD

Burcin Altun graduated from the University of Istanbul and later completed her Ph.D. in Italy (ICGEB) and UK (Open University) combined program. In 2015 she moved to the USA (Bioengineering, UPenn) to work in the Tsourkas lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher. She developed novel technologies for T cell-redirecting bispecific antibodies and advanced protein labeling technologies which were playing important roles in her research for targeted therapy and personalized medicine. She continues to work in the targeted therapy field at UPenn. Her future perspective is to continue on translational and applicable immunotherapies to touch directly human life.
