Dr. Bruno V. Gallo has over 24 years of experience in the field of neurology. In 1985, Dr. Gallo received his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Soon after he completed internal medicine and neurology residencies at Jackson Memorial Hospital in South Florida. Dr. Gallo also completed his Epilepsy/EEG neurophysiology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed the Bowman-Gray mini epilepsy fellowship as well.

Upon completion of his fellowships, Dr. Bruno Gallo spent four years in private practice on the West Coast of Florida. During this time he gained extensive expertise in deep brain stimulation as well as movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and essential tremor. During the past 12 years, Dr. Gallo stood as the Director of the Intra-operative neurophysiology monitoring unit in the operating rooms at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was also Director of the Deep Brain Stimulation Program.

Dr. Bruno Gallo performs all the necessary pre-operative testing, evaluation and preparation for DBS patients and the intra-operative neurophysiological testing and post-operative programming of deep brain stimulation patients. Additionally, Dr. Gallo is qualified in the use of implantable medicine pumps for the slow delivery of dopamine gel for patients demonstrating advanced symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Currently, Dr. Bruno V. Gallo is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at Florida International University (FIU) and Director of the Movement Disorders Center at Baptist Hospital.
