Dr. Steiner graduated from McGill University School of Physical & Occupational Therapy, as well as a Baccalaureate in Science from McGill University’s Faculty of Anatomy & Histology in Montreal, Canada. He later completed his professional doctorate with the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN. He established the Anatomical Works Manual Physical Therapy where he practiced Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy for 25 years for the greater New Orleans greater area.
He currently serves Washington State’s Hemophilia and coagulopathy community where he is responsible for advanced MSKUS evaluations to monitor joint health and screens for the hemarthropathic complications of hemarthrosis, and hematoma. He is considered a “super-user” of MSKUS in the realm of Hemophilia care and employs MSKUS daily as a crucial extension of his physical therapy evaluation of all intra-articular and extraarticular structures in both lower and upper extremities. He regularly speaks at engagements to further understanding of the profound benefits of MSKUS screening and evaluation and encourages both new and older graduates to embrace this transformational curriculum.
He currently instructs and lectures with UCSD’s MSKUS in Hemophilia in San Diego with Randy Moore, DC, RDMS, RMSK and Annette Von Drygalski, MD, PharmD, RMSK, and hosts ongoing twice regularly scheduled MSKUS rounds where participants are encouraged to present images and case presentation. He is a passionate, dedicated educator and speaker who believes MSKUS is crucial to all professions engaged in rehabilitation and pain management. Dr. Steiner has instructed, Physical Therapists, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician’s Assistants an Chiropractors.
