Dr. Bruno Battiston is the Director of the Operative Unit of Musculoskeletal Traumatology of the CTO of Turin since 2009. He graduated with honors in 1984 and a Specialization with honors in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Turin in 1989. He carried out an advanced training course in hand surgery at the University Center for Reconstructive Surgery in Nancy (1988) and a PhD Research in Experimental Surgery and Microsurgery at the University of Pavia. He obtained a Specialization in Hand Surgery at the University of Brescia (1995).
In 1990 he was appointed Professor in Traumatology of Sports at the School of Specialization in Sports Medicine - University of Brescia. From 1991 to 1992 he was a member of the Ospedale Ortopedica at the Spedali Civili of Brescia and from 1993 to 2002 he was an I Level Manager at the CTO Orthopedic Division of Turin. From 1995 to 1998 he was Assistant Professor in Microsurgery at the School of Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology, University of Turin. Since 1998 he has been Lecturer in Hand Surgery at the School of Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology, University of Turin. From 2000 to 2009 he was Head of the Department of Microsurgery at the CTO in Turin.
His research interests are Orthopedic Surgery, Hand Surgery, Trauma, Reconstructive Surgery, Microsurgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Traumatology, and Surgical Interventions.
