Bruce Ransom, M.D., Ph.D., is board certified neurologist at the Neurology Clinics at UW Medical Center and Harborview, the UW’s Magnuson Professor and Chair of Neurology and an adjunct professor of Physiology and Biophysics.

Dr. Ransom is an expert in general neurology and sub-specializes in movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease. He strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Ransom earned his M.D. and Ph.D. Washington University in St. Louis. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. His clinical interests include movement disorders, essential tremor and dystonia, general neurology and inpatient neurology. His research focuses on how the brain is injured by stroke, brain energy metabolism and the function of non-neuronal brain cells.
