Bruce James BM BCh, MA, DA, FRCS, FRCSOphth

Mr Bruce James, having qualified from the University of Oxford, was trained in ophthalmology at Kings and St Thomas’ Hospital London and the Oxford Eye Hospital. He obtained a DM degree in the possible causes of glaucoma in 1993 and undertook further clinical training in glaucoma at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Appointed Consultant Ophthalmologist at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1995 he was responsible for developing the specialist glaucoma service at the hospital. He has specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of the condition since then as well as developing skills in the management of general ophthalmic disease and cataract surgery.
