Britt Myren is a medical anthropologist with a special interest in person-centered care and human behavior in healthcare contexts. Currently, she is a Ph.D. researcher at the Radboud university medical center in the Netherlands. Her Ph.D. is about patient participation in Morbidity and Mortality meetings. Britt is particularly interested in how optimal learning and practice change can be achieved in this new context.

She obtained her MSc degree at the University of Amsterdam, with research on risk perception and authoritative knowledge during pregnancy and childbirth. Prior and parallel to her Ph.D. trajectory, she also worked as a (qualitative) researcher on other projects, such as health literacy in preconception care and integrative birth care in the Netherlands. Moreover, she collaborated with a Dutch client organization and made important recommendations regarding soft skills that ObGyn residents should develop during their training. These recommendations were incorporated into a new pan-European ObGyn curriculum.
