Brian Mullan PhD, MBA, BSc

Brian Mullan is a Global Technical Project Leader at Novartis Pharma AG, based in the Basel area, Switzerland. In this role he is responsible for CMC activities (process development and manufacturing) for pre-launch and commercial biologics products (drug substance and/or drug product). Brian has over 12yrs experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, having previously worked for Sanofi (in R&D), Janssen Biologics and Eli Lilly (both in process development and manufacturing). He has extensive experience in biologics CMC strategy, GMP manufacturing and process development, pharmaceutical project management (including Tech Transfers), and global regulatory submissions. Brian holds a BSc (Hons) from the National University of Ireland, Galway, a PhD from University College Cork, and an MBA from the Open University Business School.
