Brian Andrew Gordon is a cognitive neuroscientist interested in understanding changes that occur in healthy and pathological aging. His current work is focused on Alzheimer's disease, but he has broad interests in modifiers of healthy aging such as traumatic brain injury, aerobic exercise, education, and genetics. In his research, he utilizes a multimodal approach that incorporates structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), neuropsychological assessments, genetic testing, and positron emission tomography (PET). He also has experience from his graduate career in using event-related potentials (ERPs) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRs).
