Dr. Brian Eugene Brigman, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Pediatrics at Duke University School of Medicine, as well as a member of the Duke Cancer Institute. He serves as Director of the Duke Sarcoma Center, where he specializes in the surgical management of benign and malignant bone and soft-tissue tumors of the musculoskeletal system.

Dr. Brigman earned his MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994. He completed his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Nebraska, followed by fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology. His clinical and academic work focuses on orthopaedic oncology, sarcoma care, oncologic reconstructive surgery, and the multidisciplinary management of musculoskeletal tumors.

At Duke, Dr. Brigman is involved in clinical care as well as basic, translational, and clinical research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with sarcoma. His research has included surgical treatment of soft-tissue sarcomas, bone tumors, metastatic disease, imaging technologies, and innovative approaches to cancer treatment and reconstruction.
