Brendon Trotter BSc, MD, RDMS, FRCPC

Dr. Trotter has completed a subspecialty fellowship in Point-of-Care Sonography (PoCUS) within the McMaster Emergency Medicine program. Since completing his residency, he has been heavily involved in both the resident and fellowship-level PoCUS programs. Currently he is the physician lead for the core residency PoCUS training program.

Ongoing research interests include validation of PoCUS use in the ED in early pregnancy patients, and the development of a clinical decision tool designed to help clinicians taking care of critically ill elderly patients make informed choices regarding the initiation of mechanical ventilation in the ED.
