Dr. Galm is an endocrinologist at Vancouver General Hospital and a clinical assistant professor at the University of British Columbia. He has a particular interest in pituitary disorders, including prolactinomas, Cushing's syndrome, acromegaly, and other pituitary problems. He spent two years working with several world experts in pituitary disease at the Neuroendocrine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

However, he sees patients with all sorts of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, osteoporosis, and diseases of the thyroid, adrenals, and female and male reproductive systems. He also sees transgender individuals. He is also actively involved in teaching. He teaches several diabetes courses for UBC medical students, endocrine topics for internal medicine residents, and subspecialty endocrinology for the endocrine fellows. He also regularly has residents and fellows in the clinic with him.
