Brad T Garmon, BS, NRP, FP-C, is currently employed by the University of Virginia Medical Center as a critical care flight paramedic with the hospital's aeromedical transport team. Brad has 13 years of Fire/EMS experience, serving 8 years in Arlington, Virginia as a career firefighter/paramedic where had assignments in both field operations and the department's training divisions. There, he instructed EMT schools, conducted continuing ALS education, and developed the department's paramedic training program. Brad has a passion for enhancing the practice and education of prehospital clinicians; focusing his teaching on elevating the standard of prehospital care by introducing critical care concepts to paramedics across the country. Brad holds both clinical and didactic faculty positions within the Virginia Community College System and George Washington University in Washington DC.
