Dr. Gable serves in multiple roles. He currently is an attending emergency care physician with Mid-Ohio Emergency Services providing full-spectrum care at five OhioHealth hospitals and six freestanding emergency departments. Dr. Gable also serves as the System Medical Director for OhioHealth Simulation providing oversight and direction of simulation and experiential learning curricula for OhioHealth’s 30 residency and fellowship programs.
He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Accredited Education Institutes, Technologies, and Simulation Committee; Courage to Teach, Technology Committee; and several OhioHealth internal committees. Furthering his passion for education, Dr. Gable is a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, Department of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Gable received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine (2009) and an emergency medicine residency at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) with Summa Akron City Hospital (2012). He went on to complete a comprehensive instructor workshop in medical simulation at the Harvard Center for Medical Simulation (2012), a teaching fellowship with the American College of Emergency Physicians (2013), and an academic fellowship in medical simulation with Summa Akron City Hospital, Austen Bioinnovation Institute of Akron, and Summa Emergency Associates, Inc. Dr. Gable became a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2016.
