Botros Shenoda, MD, Ph.D., MSc earned his medical degree in 2002 from Assiut University Faculty of Medicine in Assiut, Egypt. In 2008, he earned his Master of Science degree in Pharmacology from Assiut University Faculty of Medicine. In 2017, he earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Physiology at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Shenoda completed his residencies at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2019 and Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health in 2020.
Dr. Shenoda was awarded the Resident of the Year and Richard G. Paluzzi Awards from Drexel College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine in 2018. In 2019, he received the Partner in Practice Award from Abington – Jefferson Health. In 2020, he was awarded the David J. Kaufman Award from Abington – Jefferson Health.
Dr. Shenoda has co-authored publications on topics such as complex regional syndrome, vascular syndromes, chronic intermittent dysphagia, and acute inflammatory response. He has made several presentations at medical meetings on neuropathic and inflammatory disorders and complex regional pain syndromes. He most recently presented at Drexel Internal Medicine Research Day in 2019.
Botros has co-authored several publication chapters on vascular syndromes, Takayasu arteritis, and chronic intermittent dysphagia. Dr. Shenoda is a recognized researcher by Drexel College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine. He received several grants and fellowships including Dean's Fellowship for Excellence in Collaborative or Themed Research in 2015 and 2016.
