Robert (Bob) McMahon is a Registered Nurse with 30 years clinical and management experience working in numerous mental health settings, including rural and remote. Bob has a Masters of Mental Health Nursing from the University of Newcastle; a Masters of Business (Industrial Relations) from Charles Sturt University, an Associate Diploma in Industrial Relations, a Graduate Certificate in Industrial Relations from Charles Sturt University, and a Post Basic Certificate in Mental Health Nursing. Bob is a member of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses Inc. and the NSW Nurses’ and Midwifery Association. Bob is currently employed as the team leader of the Greater Whitsunday Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service in Far North Queensland and is an authorised mental health practitioner. Prior to this position, Bob was employed in various senior clinical management positions on the North Coast of NSW and previous to that was a senior organiser with the NSW Nurses’ and Midwifery Association for 10 years. Bob is committed to the public health system and in assisting the seriously mentally ill in gaining hope and in taking control of their journey to recovery.
