Bjoern Bauer PhD

Dr. Bauer is Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy, University of Kentucky. Dr. Bauer received a B.S. in Pharmacy and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharmacology from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and then conducted work as Postdoctoral Fellow at the NIH/NIEHS in Research Triangle Park, NC, USA. Dr. Bauer’s research focus is on the regulation of blood-brain barrier function in epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and brain cancer.
