Bishara S. Atiyeh MD

Dr. Bishara Atiyeh is a clinical professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Lebanon. He graduated from the American University of Beirut and completed his plastic surgery training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He then completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York.

Dr. Bishara Atiyeh is the current President of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent, the Euro-Mediterranean Council for Burns and Fire Disasters, and the Lebanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery. He is also Past-President of the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery and the Pan-Arab Association for Burns and Plastic Surgery. Dr. Atiyeh is the Executive Editor of Annals of Burns and Fire Disasters.

Dr. Bishara Atiyeh is also a member of the Editorial Boards of several scientific publications and has organized several local, regional and international congresses and instructional courses, and has been invited as a guest speaker to numerous conferences; he is the author of more than 200 scientific publications and chapters in reference books and has edited 2 books the first about post-bariatric body contouring and the second about oncoplastic breast surgery and breast reconstruction.
