Birgit Guldhammer Skov MD, DMsci

Birgit Guldhammer Skov MD, DMSci, is certified in Pathology and Cytology. She graduated from the Copenhagen University of Medicine in 1981. She has a broad education in medicine before entering the pathology in which she was certified in 1994. She defended her thesis in 1995 (Accuracy and reproducibility of immunohistochemistry in the diagnosis of pulmonary neoplasms). Since 1996 she has worked primary with pulmonary diseases.

Since 1996 Dr. Skov was Co-chair in different Depts. of Pathology, now at Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet. Since 1991 she was an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen. She is active in lung cancer research, in particularly in targeted therapy for NSCLC.
