Binsheng Gong

Dr. Gong received his Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Harbin Medical University, China, in 2011, with a specialization in bioinformatics and systems biology. Throughout his successful career, Dr. Gong has published 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals, many of which were published in high impact scientific journals, such as Nature Biotechnology, Genome Biology, Nucleic Acids Research, etc. Dr. Gong is presently a postdoctoral fellow at the FDA National Center for Toxicological Research, and has since the beginning of his appointment in March 2012 been involved in and working as one of the major investigators of FDA led SEquencing Quality Control (SEQC) project. The SEQC consortium effort “Concordance between RNA Sequencing and microarray”, which Dr. Gong was involved in as one of the major contributors, won the FDA 2015 SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS: Chief Scientist Publication Award for Basic, Translational or Applied Science.
