Bill S. Hansson PhD, BSc

Dr. Hansson completed his PhD in Ecology in 1988. He is the Director and Head of the Department of Evolutionary Neuroethology at the Max Planck Institute of Chemical Ecology in Jena since 2006. He is Vice President of the Max Planck Society since 2014. The main research interests are insect olfactory guided behavior, insect olfactory function, and the evolution of arthropod olfaction.
