Bill received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Florida State College Jacksonville in 1995. He worked for several years in different positions as he pursued his career goal of becoming a flight nurse. These positions included pediatric ICU, pediatric oncology and pediatric and adult ER. Working towards this goal also included obtaining EMT and paramedic licenses in the state of Florida as well as Certified Emergency Nurse certification.

In 2001 Bill became a flight nurse in Florida where he worked at a new helicopter base in Bartow Florida. In 2002 when a position came available in his home town of Jacksonville he moved to Baptist Life Flight, ultimately becoming the Chief Flight Nurse and Medical Manager. During this time, he also continued his education and received Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner in 2004. After graduating from Nurse Practitioner school, Bill worked in ICU at Shands Jacksonville and the ER at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville Florida. Bill currently practices full time in Neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida, as well as working in the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital.
