Professor Baik Kotecha is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital. He has been a consultant ENT surgeon for over 25 years. He treats both adults and children with all ENT disorders including voice and swallowing problems, tonsillitis, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, glue ear, otitis externa, and media, hearing, and balance problems. Professor Kotecha has recently retired from the NHS but used to work at both The Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital, London, and at Queen’s Hospital, Romford.

Now that he has retired from the NHS, it has freed up time for him to deliver more educational talks and lectures, as well as continuing his private practice. As a leader in the field of ENT, Prof Kotecha has developed a special interest in the management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea and offers expert advice and management. He has published numerous articles and research studies and made TV appearances discussing the topic.

Professor Kotecha's pediatric ENT training was at Great Ormond Street Hospital and at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Professor Kotecha is the past President of the Sleep Medicine Section at The Royal Society of Medicine (2009-11). Professor Baik Kotecha has been awarded the title of Honorary Clinical Professor in the Institute of Health Sciences Education with Barts & The London School of Medicine & Dentistry at the Queen Mary University of London.
