Dr. Bhavya Rehani is CEO and co-founder of an award-winning non-profit Health4theworld - which is promoting health in remote corners of the world. She is a Harvard-trained physician and a neuroradiologist at the University of California, San Francisco. Growing up in India, Dr. Rehani witnessed first-hand, the poor access to healthcare for her own grandparents in rural India. Inspired to find a solution, she launched Health4theworld which creates innovative technology and educational resources to promote health globally.
Dr. Rehani was awarded Women of Influence Awards in Silicon Valley by Silicon Valley Business Journal. Under her leadership, the organization grew to 22 countries in one year and was awarded multiple awards including the Organization of the Year and Tech Start-Up of the year in 2018. Dr. Rehani was also awarded the female innovator of the year in 2018 by the Women in Business Stevie Awards. She and her team have created solutions in health using machine learning, virtual reality, mobile health among other technologies. Dr. Rehani leads an incredible worldwide team of doctors, engineers, artists, and people from diverse backgrounds who volunteer to make promote better health globally. Dr. Rehani and her work has been featured in Forbes, NBC, SF Business Times, Stanford Daily, Palo Alto Weekly among other news media.
A Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology with certification in Brain imaging and is an invited member of the Quantitative Biosciences Institute (QBI) Women Initiative at UCSF in association with United Nations (UN) women. It is the doctors and patients in low resource communities who inspire her every day to design new solutions to bring health to underserved & vulnerable populations. She believes that every human deserves access to health no matter which part of the world they live in. She hopes that she can help more people like her grandparents who don't have access to health and live in remote parts of the world.
