Bhavana Pothuri MD, MS

Dr. Bhavana Pothuri, MD, MS, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist at NYU Langone Health and a nationally recognized leader in gynecologic cancer care and clinical research. With more than 15 years of experience, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and other gynecologic cancers, providing patients with access to advanced therapies, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and innovative clinical trials.

Dr. Pothuri serves as Director of Gynecologic Oncology Clinical Trials and Medical Director of the Clinical Trials Office at NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center. She is also a professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where she is actively involved in research, medical education, and mentoring future physicians. Her research focuses on novel treatments for ovarian and endometrial cancers, genetic testing, and expanding access to precision oncology and clinical trials.

An expert in laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and radical debulking surgery, Dr. Pothuri is known for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to each woman’s medical and personal needs. She earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, completed her OB-GYN residency at Lankenau Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
