Bhargavi B. Kola MD, MPA, FAAP

Dr. Kola, a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2011. With more than a decade of experience in managing pediatric patients with varied clinical conditions, Dr. Kola has a special interest in pediatric asthma and developmental delays. Trained in the nation’s busiest medical facility in New York and practicing in both academic and exclusive outpatient settings she brings a diverse knowledge in managing pediatric patients.

Dr.Kola completed her medical school at one of the prestigious universities in South India and moved to the US to pursue her specialty training in Pediatrics. After working in the busy pediatric practice for two years, she moved to Texas to work as a Regional Vice Chairman@ at Texas Tech University of Health Sciences Center where introduced many patient education and community outreach program including Asthma Community program and Reach Out and Read at the University. She has been very instrumental in developing federally funded programs at the university.

Dr. Kola’s interest includes Asthma, breastfeeding, and child development. She and Dr. Dasari believe that good parental education is the key to a child‘s physical and mental growth. She has accomplished this through her educational grant in TTUHSC [Permian Basin campus] by initiating a Reach out and Read Program and Asthma clinic. When not working she enjoys spending time reading, traveling, and cooking. She is married to a pediatrician and has two boys ( 11 and 8 ). Having kids at work and home she says is the best part of her life and she loves to learn from them every day.
