Bettye Wilson, is multi-competency technologist and educator with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with technologist attending her courses. She was a team member of the ASRT curriculum revision group for the Computed Tomography Chapter, and has spoken about the role of the radiation therapists and nuclear medicine technologists in CT at many of our national meetings. Bettye has been a faculty member for AHEC for eighteen years, teaching the CT curriculum for getting started, registry review, updates, and more. She has fostered many technologists in their movement down the radiology information highway and assisted then in advancing their careers by acquiring advanced level registries. rnBettye has served the profession in many capacities at both the local, state and national level. Bettye recently completed her service to the ARRT where she was President of the ARRT Board of Directors and served as a Trustee until 2010. Bettye is a published author of multiple articles, and her textbook Ethics and Basic Law is a popular textbook used in Imaging Sciences. Bettye recently retired as Associate Professor of Radiologic Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Health Related Professions, but continues to share her talent and expertise with technologist in seminars across the country.
