Beth Hartman McGilley, PhD, FAED, CEDS, is an adjunct associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and is in private practice specializing for over thirty years in the treatment of eating disorders, body image, sports psychology, trauma, and grief. She is the co-editor of The Treatment of Eating Disorders: Bridging the Research-Practice Gap, co-author of the AED medical management guidelines, and has numerous other professional and lay publications. She is a Fellow of the AED, having chaired, co-founded or served on several committees and special interest groups. Dr. McGilley is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, and teaches, supervises and consults with students and professionals in addition to her primary clinical work.
