Dr. Fox is a native of East Tennessee and received her undergraduate degree in Nursing, a certificate in Nurse Anesthesia, and a Master's Degree in Public Health before leaving nursing and entering medical school at Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Fox returned to follow her desire to make a difference in the lives of the people of Appalachia and 'grow old with her patients. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Fox completed her postgraduate education in Family Medicine at the Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program. She then worked in private practice for a few years before returning to join the Academic Faculty at East Tennessee Family Physicians of Kingsport. Dr. Fox seeks to find additional methods to help her patients than just the ones she learned through allopathic training. Dr. Fox believes that patients are more than their medical issues and each has a story to tell. These stories have helped her to acknowledge and incorporate all aspects of their lives to provide health recommendations. Dr. Fox's interests are Clinical (Human Patient) Simulation, Women's Health, and Rural Health. Her husband, Earl Aneas, and she enjoy spending time with their two dogs and with family and friends. They enjoy outdoor activities like biking and traveling and love exploring craft fairs and antique stores. Dr. Fox can be reached at foxba@etsu.edu.
