Ben Waller is a researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Ben has recently completed his PhD which investigated the impact of aquatic resistance training on symptoms, function, body composition and cartilage in women with mild knee OA at the Univeristy of Jyväskylä, Finland.

His current research interest has diversified to investigating the effects of immersion and aquatic exercise on muscle architecture and neural activity through novel outcomes including underwater ultrasound and electrical stimulation, in both healthy and different patient populations. Additionally, Ben has published a number of articles in peer reviewed journals concerning aquatic therapy. He completed his BSc (Hons) degree in physiotherapy in 2001, graduating from the University of Brighton and graduated from University of Jyväskylä in 2010 with MSc in Health Sciences. Additionally, Ben has a 15 year clinical background specializing in musculoskeletal, sports injuries and orthopedics and has experience working with some of Finland’s elite athletes.
