Benjamin Kelmendi earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his residency in the Neuroscience Research Track in Psychiatry in 2015 at the Yale School of Medicine, followed by a two-year research fellowship at the National Center for PTSD. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. He leads a research program focused on the therapeutic potential of psychedelic medicines across a range of psychiatric diagnoses.

Ben is currently investigating the effect of psilocybin on the neurocircuitry implicated in the pathophysiology of obsessive-compulsive disorder. He is also a Principal Investigator on a major multi-site Phase 2 study of psilocybin in the treatment of OCD. He is the Co-Director of the Yale Program for Psychedelic Sciences.
