Benjamin During his medical school he was initially interested in being a pediatrician, but after a pediatric orthopedic medical mission in Africa, his career path changed. He was drawn to the specialty because of the ability to make positive changes in children’s lives.

He started his orthopedic training in Canada and then moved to Australia for subspecialty training in cerebral palsy before returning to Boston. He feels fortunate to have had the experience of health care delivery from Canada, Australia, and the United States and the blends all three systems into how he currently cares for children and their families. Pediatric orthopedics is a unique specialty where we have the ability to make meaningful improvements for children and their families. The struggle to overcome a pediatric disability is challenging but the rewards are tremendous.
