Benjamin F. Byrd Iii

Dr. Byrd was born in Nashville and, after graduating from Princeton University with a degree in History in 1973, followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by graduating from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1977. He is well-known in the field as a speaker on adult congenital heart disease and valvular heart disease. He joined the Department of Medicine in Cardiology at Vanderbilt in 1984 as Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory
