Benjamin Ellis PhD

Dr. Ellis has over 15 years of experience in the development and application of experimental and computational methods to address questions and deficiencies in the field of orthopedic biomechanics. His research focuses on the structure and function of musculoskeletal soft tissues, as well as the creation of validated computational models and the verification of software frameworks to study those issues. He has substantial design experience and has worked with physicians and leading orthopedic companies to create new surgical devices, instrumentation, and methods for soft tissue fixation. His research and design experience has been gained while holding positions in both industry and academia. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications and has a patent for a soft tissue fixation device.
