Benjamin Close

Dr Ben Close is currently the Director of Emergency Medicine and a Senior Staff Specialist at The Townsville Hospital Emergency Department. The Townsville Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for North Queensland. He is also an Aero-medical Retrieval Co-ordinator for Retrieval Services Queensland. Ben has also worked for the Australian Defence Force and CareFlight Medical Services. His clinical interests include clinical toxicology, major incident management, emergency ultrasound and innovative ED models of care.
