Beniamino Brunetti MD, PhD

Dr. Beniamino Brunetti is a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. He is a Ph.D. in Aging and Tissue Regeneration Sciences. In 2018 he obtained the National Qualification as Associate Professor in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is an ordinary member of the Italian Society of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (SICPRE). He is a member of the Italian Society of Microsurgery (SIM). E’ International member dell’American Society for Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, with full marks, and, subsequently, specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the same renowned university, under the guidance of Prof. Paolo Persichetti, in turn, a student of his father of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery worldwide, the Brazilian Ivo Pitanguy. During his years of specialization, he was able to receive global surgical training, ranging from aesthetic and functional surgery to reconstructive microsurgery.

During his university education, he attended the best national and international centers, carrying out internships in England, Spain, Finland, Turkey, Belgium, the United States, and China. He has held Fellowships in Plastic Surgery at the S. Andrews Center for Plastic Surgery and Burns in England, at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the University of Ghent, in Belgium, and at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Shanghai Ninth's People Hospital. , Shanghai, China.

During his career he has performed more than 3000 interventions of medium and high surgery as a first operator, showing an extreme versatility that has allowed him to integrate the best techniques of Aesthetic and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery into his clinical practice. This wide range of experiences led him to develop a personalized approach to the patient, aimed at obtaining harmonious results, respecting the anatomy of the individual and the aesthetic standards of elegance and naturalness. Dr. Brunetti is the author of numerous publications in the most prestigious world journals in the sector (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery, Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Burns). He is an editor and reviewer for several international journals of Plastic Surgery. For the description of some innovative surgical techniques, he has also been awarded multiple national and international awards.

Thanks to this curriculum, in 2014 he was awarded the Europe Plastic Surgeon Scholarship by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS,), a prestigious award of recognition for the best European candidates under 37 who have distinguished themselves in the panorama of international Plastic Surgery. Dr. Beniamino Brunetti exercises his profession at the Chair of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital of Rome, a leading university in Italy for training and healthcare with an international approach.

He is also a Consultant Plastic Surgeon responsible for breast pathology at the MG Vannini Hospital in Rome. He is a Plastic Surgeon responsible for the post-removal reconstruction of soft tissue sarcomas at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital of Rome. At the same university, he also carries out research and teaching activities as a tutor for students of Medicine and Surgery and for doctors in specialist training belonging to the School of Specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. In addition to the operational headquarters in Rome, Dr. Brunetti receives at the Brunetti Medical Office in Salerno.
