Dr. Joshua studied medicine at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and after that completed his residency in Otorhinolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery at Rabin Medical Center. After the residency He was a Fellow of Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford, Palo Alto. Currently he is the Director of the Head and Neck Service in Soroka University Hospital and a Senior Lecturer in Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva, Israel. He is the current Chair of the Israeli Society of Head and Neck Oncology and Surgery (ISHNOS). Dr. Joshua has specific interest in Head and Neck Cancer mechanism including the roll of Stem Cells in treating Head and Neck cancer. He and Prof. Victor Novack who heads the Soroka University Research Unit have established a Head and Neck Tumor biobank. Dr Joshua has a special interest in obstructive sleep apnea and the roll palatine tonsils play in its pathogenesis, as well as in the pathogenesis of infectious diseases of the throat.
