Ben Jamal

Ben Jamal has been CEO of DVIP since 2006. DVIP is the largest provider in the UK of a Respect accredited community perpetrator programme and also delivers a range of other services to women and children exposed to domestic abuse across London. These include Al Aman, a programme delivering perpetrator interventions and women’s support services with the Arabic speaking community ; Yuva – a programme working with adolescent perpetrators of abuse and providing support to their victims including mothers; Stephens Pace- a children’s centre in West London offering supervised contact and therapeutic work with children. Prior to moving to DVIP , Ben worked for 12 years within Statutory Children’s services including 5 years as a Child protection Manager in Westminster. During that time he drafted guidelines for Social Workers responding to Domestic abuse which were later incorporated into the London Child Protection Domestic Violence procedures. Ben sits as a member of the Family Justice Council Domestic Violence Committee and is a Board Member of Respect
