Bekh Bradley PhD

Dr. Bradley is an Assistant Professor in the Emory University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He is also the director of the Trauma Specialty Treatment team at the Atlanta VAMC. Dr. Bradley brings significant experience in clinically and empirically grounded research on PTSD and trauma. He, along with Dr. Ressler (Co-I for proposed project), is co-director of the Grady Trauma Project and Grady Trauma Clinic. Dr. Bradley is the PI on a 2-site VA funded Merit award, "Differential Risk for PTSD in OEF/OIF Veterans: Genetic and Environmental Effects,” and is a co-investigator on an NIMH-funded research program based at Grady Health System on genetic and environmental risk factors predicting risk/resilience to PTSD. He is also a co-investigator on a DOD funded study of conditioned fear extinction and generalization in posttraumatic stress disorder in OEF/OIF veterans (for which Dr. Norrholm is the Grant PI). In addition, Dr Bradley is the recipient of a Young Investigator Award from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, investigating the interaction of lifetime trauma exposure and genetic risk factors for suicidal behavior. Over the last 6 years, Dr. Bradley has been responsible for the assessment and management of data collection on phenotype (e.g., PTSD symptoms) and environmental factors (e.g., assessment of childhood and adult trauma exposure) for the Grady Trauma Project.
