Bastiaan Remmelzwaal

Dr Remmelzwaal has a track record of working for international organisations, including the World Health Organization, the European Commission and The World Bank. He is currently employed at UNICEF Supply Division in Denmark as Cold Chain Specialist, where he carries out studies on the effectiveness of Cold Chain Technology in countries worldwide. Trained as electronic engineer in The Netherlands, he complemented his education with a PhD in Health Technology Management at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, as well as a Master’s in Public Health from South Africa. He has a passion for capacity building among national staff, particularly in countries in development. His home base is Cape Town in South Africa. Bastiaan is an all-round international development worker with specialisations in the Health and Education Sector. Educated in The Netherlands (BSc), the United Kingdom (PhD, MSc) and South Africa (MPH). Worked in many countries, mainly in Africa, including fragile states.
