Bassam Elmadhoun ASQ-CPGP, ASQ-CQA, PhD

Dr. Elmadhoun is currently the Quality Unit Manager of Pharmaceutical Solutions Industry (PSI). He is also managing the Technical Training Department of PSI. He is the founder and principle consultant at BETCO Consulting FZC., UAE. He is a GxP consultant & auditor with over 17 years of experience in the management of pharmaceutical quality systems. Dr. Elmadhoun has extensive background in quality and regulatory compliance. He received his B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Science from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia (1983) and a PhD degree in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba, Canada (2001). He has The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada and practiced the profession of pharmacy in the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario. He began his career as a pharmacist in microbiology laboratory in sterile drug manufacturing. His career has incorporated a range of senior technical positions as well as several years in the quality division of PSI. His preceding role in the industry was Director of Quality and Compliance for PSI operations. Dr. Elmadhoun gained extensive experience and knowledge in internal and external pharmaceutical audit, coordination of regulatory inspection, GxP training, validation services and customer claims / quality failure investigation. Dr. Elmadhoun joined Batterjee Medical College, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics. He has been teaching pharmaceutics, biopharmceutics, pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacokinetics. Most recently, Dr. Elmadhoun has been certified by the American Society for Quality as Pharmaceutical GMP Professional. Dr. Elmadhoun has several publications in the area of pharmaceutics & Pharmacology.
