Baselmans Bart PhD

Baselmans Bart is the associate professor of Biomedical Technology at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Trained as a (biological) psychologist (BSc) and Neuroscientist (MSc) with a Ph.D. in molecular genetics (bioinformatics). I like to contribute to a better society and I have experience in the field of healthcare, (data) science, and education. I gained scientific experience in Australia (2019-2021) and Hong Kong (2017), but now I enjoy working as a senior lecturer in Biomedical Engineering (BMT) at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. As a senior lecturer, I am involved in setting up a BMT line of research, integrating practice-oriented research into the curriculum, and the transition of the Faculty of Technology to so-called profile themes. These are multi-year themes in which education, research, and professional practice come together to tackle complex social issues
