Basak Ergivam Dogan MD

Dr. Dogan is an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology in the Breast Imaging Section, and Medical Director of the Ben and Julie Rogers Breast Diagnostic Clinic. She received her medical degree from Hacettepe University Medical School, Ankara, Turkey, and completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Ankara University Medical School in 2001. After completing a Breast Imaging Fellowship at MD Anderson in 2005, Dr. Dogan joined the MD Anderson Faculty as an Assistant Professor in 2007. During her time at MD Anderson, Dr. Dogan has maintained her commitment to clinical excellence, research, administrative services, and education. Her areas of clinical and research focus include advanced breast MRI applications, optoacoustic, and micro bubble contrast-enhanced ultrasound of sentinel lymph nodes. Dr. Dogan has been actively involved in the development of protocols for breast MRI-guided biopsy, as well as in the implementation of pre-surgical Radioactive Seed Localization of breast lesions at MD Anderson. Additionally, Dr. Dogan has actively engaged in the Breast Imaging Mentoring Program and the DR Mentoring Seminar Series.
