Bas Velden PhD

Bas Van Der Velden is a Head of Data Science at Wageningen Food Safety Research and has 10+ years of hands-on experience in AI, deep learning, and explainable AI (XAI). He has a PhD in Medical Imaging from the Image Sciences Institute (University Medical Center Utrecht) and an MSc degree in Medical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology. He has research experience at UC Berkeley and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
