Bart Barlogie, MD, joined the Icahn School of Medicine as Director of Myeloma Research in 2015. He had previously headed the Myeloma Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, which he founded in 1989. Under his leadership, a world-renowned program for multiple myeloma research and therapy was established, focusing on "Growth Control in Multiple Myeloma" with the therapeutic goal to achieve cure through the use of myeloablative cytotoxic and immunological treatment strategies.
