Barry Friend BSc

Barry is a Senior Technical Manager with responsibilities for technical support, product selection and training in Ireland, Iceland, England and South Africa. Barry has been with Colorcon for 19 Years with a number of roles including formulation development (film coatings), technical support and now in his current role as technical manager supporting all solid dosage applications.

Prior to Colorcon Barry spent 11 years at Wellcome Foundation LTD (Glaxo Wellcome) Pharmaceutical Development Laboratories where he was a Scientist involved in projects at all phases of clinical development. Barry graduated with a BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences from the University of Westminster in 1995. He has been involved in the pharmaceutical industry for 30 years. Over this time he has built up a strong level of expertise in solid oral dose forms and film coating technology.
