Barry Rosenbloom, MD., a native of New York City, where he was educated at City University of New York, Hunter College as an undergraduate, and the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center for Medical School. He then entered Harbor-UCLA for the Internship and Residency Program, where he ultimately became Chief Resident in Medicine, and subsequently, Dr. Rosenbloom also completed a Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology.
Dr. Rosenbloom is one of the founding members of Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group. He was a former Chief of Staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is now a member of the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, where he is Associate Director for the Medical Delivery Network.
Dr. Rosenbloom has published over one hundred scientific papers, book chapters, and abstracts. He has been involved in and directed several drug trials, and he is a nationally recognized expert on Gaucher’s disease and is a member of the International Cooperative Gaucher Group developed the modern guidelines for the treatment of the disease. As a result of his academic endeavors, he has been appointed both Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Rosenbloom is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology as well as the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Rosenbloom and his wife, Beth, of forty-eight years, have two daughters, Michelle and Lauren. In his spare time, he likes reading, music, and playing golf.
