Biography :
Dr. Bahman Guyuron, MD has served as a pioneer in the field of plastic surgery for more than 30 years. He is recognized as one of the leading doctors in the field, and has acted as a visiting professor at more than 30 institutions worldwide, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and the Mayo Clinic, and has delivered more than 1,000 presentations and lectures internationally. Dr. Guyuron is an author of more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, and has served in an editorial capacity on many scientific journals. He is an author of Rhinoplasty, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Video Atlas, Plastic Surgery: Indications and Practice, and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with DVD.
Dr. Guyuron has developed techniques to improve the safety of plastic surgery procedures, and developed a highly successful and innovative outpatient procedure for the surgical treatment of migraine headaches. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Guyuron’s professional affiliations include his service as president of the Northeastern Ohio Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, president of the Rhinoplasty Society, president of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and president of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation, and president of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
