Dr. Baharak Moshiree is board-certified in gastroenterology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to poor intestinal motility, including gastroparesis, intestinal dysmotility, and pseudo-obstruction. She also specializes in pelvic floor disorders, chronic idiopathic constipation, neurogenic bowel, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), carbohydrate malabsorption or intolerance, eosinophilic GI conditions, esophageal motility disorders, and achalasia (food cannot pass into the stomach). She is the director of motility for the Atrium Health Department of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Moshiree was honored with the Atrium Health Teal Acorn Award for Academic Preceptor of the Year and the Wake Forest University Established Investigator in Clinical/Population Science Award. She is the American College of Gastroenterology Governor for North Carolina and a council member of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society. She is the associate editor of the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

She received a master’s degree in clinical investigation and her medical degree from the University of Florida and completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University.
