Bahaa Shaath MD

Dr. Bahaa Shaath is a German board-certified consultant in Nephrology and Internal Medicine with nearly a decade of experience in Germany. He brings great experience in managing and treating patients with diabetic kidney disease and other kidney diseases. He is adept at performing renal biopsies, a procedure in which a part of the kidney is examined to provide information needed to diagnose, monitor, or treat kidney problems.

In addition, he has cared for many patients on dialysis and those with chronic or acute kidney injury as well as critical kidney illnesses requiring Intensive care. Furthermore, he has experience in pre and post-kidney transplantation care. After swapping Germany for the UAE in 2013, Dr. Bahaa joined fellow Mubadala facility Healthpoint Hospital as Acting Head of the Cardiovascular Centre, before moving to ICLDC in 2015.
